User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050726 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050726 When I attemp to execute Firefox (I don't know what version it is, since it won't execute!), I get the error message: 'The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt to complete. Please restart.'. I have attempted re-boots several times, but this doesn't seem to make any difference. I was working fine with Firefox 1.0.5, but when I attempted to download 1.0.7, nothing works now! Has anybody else had this problem, and what did you do to fix it> Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attempt to double-click on the Firefox ocon. 2. It just returns with the above error message! 3.
Steps to try : 1 - Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode (Start, All Programs, Mozilla Firefox, Firefox Safe Mode). Does it fix the problem? 2 - Have you tried to uninstall Firefox (using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel) and to reinstall it? There are other steps, but these two are a start.
2. would work but is silly xpicleanup.dat is the file that matters. attach it, move it away. run firefox.
