Boris, no I don't see the assertion anymore on trunk and 1.8, I do see it
on the 1.8.0 branch though.  So, I think this bug is WFM.

We don't seem to render the text "abs" anymore as we do on the 1.8 branch.
Do you know if we have a bug on that?

(I dumped and compared the frames trees and they are identical AFAICT)

I'm not aware of a bug on not rendering text in this case.  Should definitely file one and find the regression window...
