User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4

undo close tab then the browser will start to load the content, before beginning
of loading the content(when the page is grey!not white), middle click mouse
inside the page to show the compass(for scrolling by moving). The compass will
never disappear, & when u open every new tab the compass(/es) will shown before
the new tab shown. By repeating this, there would be many compasses stay there(
each one can react to mouse hover(when u do this by middle clicking near the tab
bar ,the tab will be covered by half of the compass permanently)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open some page with a lot of contents
2.close the tab
3.clean the history(in order to have enough time to middle click while loading
the page)
4.middle click in the tab bar in order to reopen the closed tab(my mouse gesture)
5.u must be fast enough in this step, after middle click the new tab would be
grey for a soon while, then middle click again not in tab bar, in the grey
page), the compass would be shown. if u middle click near the tab bar, the
compass will cover some part of the tab bar.
6.create a new tab
7.u have to pay attention, the compass will be shown when the new tab is
grey(not white).
8. If u made one compass cover the tab bar, u can switch ur tab, the compass
will be still there! if u have ur mouse hovers the compass the compass can be
highlighted.
9. If u do the above with the compass over an image(inside the new open closed
tab), then u can see the compass's background is the grey colour not transparent
again.

Expected Results:
disable the mouse compass function when the page is still grey not ready to load
pages. Then there will be no more this bug.
This is clearly a bug with an extension and needs to be taken up with the
extension owner.

I think it's not an extension's bug!!!
I uninstalled all my extension might related to this bug including optimoz mouse
guesture & tab mix plus.
Compass still can be shown. Since this is firefox built-in function.
I regenerate this bug by click some link( which opens in new tab& not fast
enough to load the page , ie in grey status) I middle click to show the compass.
The compass will be there permanently as I described. It does not depend on any
extensions.

What is this "compass" you talk about? There is no such feature in Firefox
AFAIK. Could you please attach a screenshot? The things you are describing all
sound like they are related to the behavior/functions your extensions provide.
Can you reproduce this bug in safe mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Actually this maight due to the firefox remain the extension I installed last
time when I use firefox 1.0.4? But I'm just curious whether firefox in safe mode
would load extensions? If not , then , this should be a bug. And seems not, my
tabmixplus& mouse guesture don't work in safe mode.

Hope somebody test it carefully.

Since it's very upset for me to report so many nouse duplicated bugs. I don't
want to do so, cause the bug searching system is too hard for me, each bug
describs not clearly enough in the list, u need to click in. And I add so many
restrictions to cut down the numbers of search result, the number still too big
(over 200), and I'm afraid of missing some bug this time.
The point of safe mode is to disable your extensions so you can fix (uninstall)
things. This problem is obviously related to a bad extension you have installed,
as you previously stated. Conflicting extensions with Firefox are not handled on
bugzilla.mozilla.org. Yes, they do break Firefox, but it's not our fault!

Oh, that's upset. I hope firefox can redesign the structure of combining with
extensions. Of course, I know firefox want to keep the extension settings &
feature for future install after uninstall the old version so extensions combine
with firefox so tightly even still exist in firefox 1.5 that I installed an
extension in firefox 1.0.4. Can this imply that the structure of firefox is not
so robust? I know I'm not qualified to blame firefox. Please understand my
intention is will to give some useful advise for firefox.
you can never expect the extensions to free of bugs, so the bugs extensions
brings to firefox u can never prevent. I don't think u can just say that's not
your fault for the whole thing. I think it's hard for users to fix that bad
installed extensions.
the following shall be done:
1. Absolutely default settings in safe mode, no implement of any extensions. For
example to keep a directory ( not used usually but a backup of all the default
settings used by firefox, in safe mode would load only things in that directory,
I think opera has some directory like that. If that directory destroyed, that's
less possible than the situation I have here, and with that can say is not
firefox's fault. )
2. Tools to return back to default settings in firefox & clean all other
extensions(maybe some operations like replace the commonly used directory by the
backup directory).
Can u inform the author of All in One Gesture(I used it in firefox 1.0.4, I
think the bug should relate to that extension)? My english is poor, it's hard
for me to describ this bug to the author.
