This problem seems like the one described in Bugzilla Bug 304743 except I am on a mac. All my 
mail is gone and I needed that stuff. I have no backups.

So you're saying that you don't have a profile folder in this folder:
~/Library/Thunderbird? It's totally gone?

Yep. totally gone. email. address books. drafts of letters I worked on offline. Gone. Computer 
gremlins. Haven't been using Thunderbird too long, it's better than Netscape, but Netscape never 
did this!!!

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?

(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)
