Using Commercial 3/7 on WinNT 4.0 SP4.

To repro: open above URL. Mozilla crashes.

Add'l info:
1) Crashed two of two tries. Appears easily reproducible. Submitted talkback
report both times (on 3/8/00, from my email address).
2) The referenced page uses JavaScript to detect whether or not the
Shockwave plug-in is present. Shockwave plug-in may or may not currently
work on Mozilla, but Mozilla shouldn't crash regardless.
3) Even in Nav3/4, weren't there problems in which attempting to detect the
presence of a plug-in via JavaScript caused crashes?

This is a problem of mammoth proportions. ;->

Note: I *do* have Shockwave installed on my Nav4.72 installation, so Commercial
3/7 may have tried to launch it.
Possibly a DUP of bug 27548?
Severity: normal → critical
I tried this page. But I do not crash. An applet runs on this page. However the
shockwave flash movie on this page does not load and I see an image instead.
Like Eric says, it seems that the javascript is not detecting the plugin in
mozilla and displaying the image instead. As for bug 27548, this page has a
shockwave director movie (.dcr) which causes a crash. So I don't think it is
related to this bug (unless I crash and compare the stack traces).
Eric, could you please retry this page on your machine with today's build ?
Thanks !
No longer crashes using 3/10 Commercial 2000031012 on WinNT 4.0 SP4. Marking
