User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 I keep loosing my bookmark web pages for no aparent reason or when firefox perform an illegal operation and needed to be restarted. Reproducible: Didn't try Your website doesn't help much either charging to fix the problem for $39.95 per phone question or $3.99 per email question. Plus your faq board and comunity forum doesn't help much and when I did found a temporary fix firefox disable it when I updated it. So I got the same problem all over again. I need a patch fix that will keep me fom losing my book mark and will not be disable when I get updates. plus you would get a lot more happy customer by not charging them for the bug you created in the program. Also a reasonable reply time would help, still waiting on the second reply haha been over a month and still waiting and also don't talk down to people either like we don't know a thing I'm a computer repair tech I fix computer for a living. If I don't get a reply in a resonable amount of time I will not be recomending this product I will tell people use either oprea 6 or IE5 with all its bug in it you don't loses it favorite webpages. Dave P.S maybe microsoft should buy aol so they would own you.
This is the fifth time in six months I lost my bookmark webpages, your website don't even help me all you want to do is charge people $39.95 per incedent on phone or $3.99 per email question. Your comunity forum leave alot to desire cause they don't answer my question about my problem plus your faq board doesnt help much either. When I did find an answer I download the plugin fix but as soon as I updated firefox it disable the fix so now I got a problem all over again. Tell me is there a patch fix that will keep me from losing my book mark web pages and where is the link to it. I want to speak to as live technician that wrote the dam thing but don't want to be charge for it to see if he got a patch fix. I also don't want generic answer from you or referring me to the faq board or comunity forun been there done that. Also I would like a resonable reply since I haven't got a reply from you the last time still waiting on that one haha. If I don't get a reply soon in the next few days I will tell people to stay with IE6 even though it got bug you don't lose your bookmark web pages. Dave

Sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately Bugzilla isn't really a means of user support. Please see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks for instructions on how to restore your lost bookmarks. Sorry if you've seen these instructions before, but this truly is the best way to restore them and that same FAQ also provides information on how to prevent this from happening. One sure-fire way to prevent lost bookmarks after a crash is to make sure Firefox is truly no longer running. You can shut it down using CTRL+ALT+DEL -> Processes -> Highlight firefox.exe and hit 'End Process'. If this is a frequent occurrence for you, consider backing up your profile with a third-party program http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup#3rd_party_profile_backup_software The next release of Firefox (v1.5) will perodically backup your bookmarks as well to prevent this type of situation. See bug 218636. Oh, and FYI - we're not part of AOL ;) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 218636 ***
