It seems thunderbird's dialog use Pinstripe's placeholder icon rather than the application icon. This is _probably_ a packaging issue, so keeping this in mscott's plate ;)

which dialog? have a screen shot? do you mean we use the blue globe? is this a dupe of 286483?
So, it seems thunderbird doesn't override icon64.png for official branding builds.
