User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051008 SeaMonkey/1.1a Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051008 SeaMonkey/1.1a When I enable the Quick Launch feature in the preferences and close the browser window, a new one is automatically opened. Of course, that's not really what Quick Launch is for... It worked for a long time, but since I used a version about ten days old (and now this one), this happens. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable Quick Launch in Mozilla Preferences 2. Close Brower Window Actual Results: A new window is opened. Expected Results: Mozilla should be closed.

Could you provide a more specific regression range?

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Just when I have Quick Launch enabled and then close the last browser window (I haven't yet tested with other components of Seamonkey), it takes one to two seconds, and then a new, clear window is opened (as if I had immediatelly started Mozilla again).

An example regression window would be: "this regressed between 2005-10-01-07 and 2005-10-02-07" or something of that nature.

Sorry, I can't give a more exact regression window as I've used one Mozilla version for more than one month before this began.

I am also seeing this behaviour with 2005101205 on Windows XP SP2. The last nightly I tried was from September 27th and don't believe this happened (although I ran into other troubles and reverted to a September 9th build which has been rock-solid for me, sorry I can't be more specific). For me, it is bringing the Profile Manager up instead of a new Seamonkey window, even though I have one profile selected with "do not ask at startup". It does not ask me for a profile when I start Mozilla via icon (desktop/start menu/quick launch), in case that helps.

It is happening for me also. Am using the following: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051013 SeaMonkey/1.1a I have tried down;laoding the latest build to no avail.

I'm seeing the same problem with build 2005101305 on Windows XP Professional with SP2 applied. When the quickstarter is active, a new browser window pops up each time I close everything. I'm afraid I can't help with the regression because the latest suite I used was a very old one 1.8b2: 2005031706 FWIW, it might be relevant that I have both SeaMonkey *and* the 'original' Mozilla suite installed, in separate folders. Of course only the SeaMonkey is active and running (I can't start the old Mozilla at all, since the profile (default) is in use by SeaMonkey).
Yes this bug is happening on my system as well, I have disabled Quick Launch for the time being.

I have tried an earleir release : 2005100105. The problem is occurring at this stage, as reported by myself and by others.

An additional comment: even though I disabled Quick Start from the preferences ("Keep Mozilla in memory"), SeaMonkey keeps coming up. When I "Disable QuickStart" by right-clicking on the taskbar icon, I can get rid of it, but it's only for the current session. Does SeaMonkey use different registry keys from the old (1.7.x) Mozilla Suite?

Any progress yet on trackion gthis one down and resolving it? It is a real hassle that it does not remember that you have disabled Quick Launch!

It might help for everyone having problems with this to put in a vote for it, just so that it gets someone's attention who is in a better position to put it into triage. (times like this I wish my coding was better! :) )

I un-installed 1.0a and tried Seamonkey 1.0b and it does't seem to have the same problem? What is the difference between them.

This is still happening for me with 2005111409. Additionally (and this has actually always been the case) Mozilla launches immediately after login. It's like the quick launch pref is being ignored and it doesn't realise it shouldn't open a full window. (and/or the code that handles Quick Launch got broken -- just glancing at all the conditions in the code that is at http://www.mozilla.org/xpapps/QuickLaunch/ )

PC using XL service pack two. Seamonkey build 1.5.0.2005121309. Using Quick Launch makes Seamonkey reload whenever it is closed, sometimes opens more than once.
