Steps to reproduce: - Wait till the auto-updater has downloaded a new update - Elect to restart *later*, rather than immediately - Close the browser - Click on an external link, such as in a piece of mail (I used Apple's Mail app) - The browser launches and the new update is installed - The browser opens a blank page. The page for the external link is never loaded. Seems to be a Mac OS X-only bug. At least, I couldn't reproduce on Win XP. It seems to be a similar issue to the one I raised in bug 251613 comment 4, though in that case it's the profile migrator that is killing the external link.
Not just Mac-OS X. I'm using Windows XP SP2 and getting the same problem with the newst Branch builds of Firefox.

I'm not. I run Win XP SP 2 as well, with the latest Firefox nightlies. I can't reproduce this problem with that setup. If the browser is closed, I reopen it by clicking on a link in Thunderbird, and the update installer launches when I open it, it still loads the page when it's done updating. I can only reproduce on Mac OS X.
