312111 - Firefox 1.5 beta hangs when opening bookmark toolbar menus

When I select a drop-down bookmark menu from the bookmarks toolbar it is empty
and firefox hangs.  This happens with both beta 1 and beta 2, every run, after
the second or third bookmark menu I select.  I keep having to revert back to
1.0.X which has never had this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch firefox 1.5 beta 1 or beta 2
2. select a bookmark menu from the toolbar
3.

Actual Results:  
hang, requires force quit on mac os x 10.2.8

Expected Results:  
display the menu

Do you have any extensions installed, and if so do you still see the same thing
in safe mode ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode )?

Could you be seeing bug 259819? Do you have any local files as bookmarks? Could
you attach your bookmarks file as an attachment?

No extensions installed and I am using the default theme.

No local or shared files are on the bookmarks toolbar or anywhere else as far
as I know.  It hangs when I click any of the drop down bookmark menus on the
toolbar.

freeze of deer park 2 (OS X 10.2.8) when using the bookmarks toolbar - the bug appears on the RC1 too, though, with this as well as with the default theme, and with all sorts of popup-menus from the toolbars. (often the first use of a menu will be okay, the second will crash the browser)

No change with RC3.  Are there any log files I can submit as an end-user to help debug this?  I'd really like Mac OS X 10.2 users to be able to use Firefox 1.5.

Asking the same question as the previous poster. Very sad and disappointing for users of OS X 10.2.8 to be unable to upgrade. Will lose functionality of extensions, as well. How can we help?
