Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-AR; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050919 Firefox/1.0.7

bug using 1.0.4 and 1.0.7

hardware config: XP 2000+, 1 Gb RAM
o/s: Windows XP Professional, Spanish Version, Service Pack 3 installed and all
security fixes up
to date.

firefox extensions installed: paste and go 0.4.1, ieview 0.84, adblock v.5 d2
nightly 39,
dictionary search 0.9.2, stumbleupon 2.04

- open firefox
- go to http://www.lanacion.com.ar (very important newspaper from Argentina)
- wait a couple minutes
- messagebox pops up: title: http://www.lanacion.com.ar
text: El elemento que intenta agregar, ya está guardado en Mi Carpeta.
Para mas información, consulte la ayuda.
(that´s spanish for: "The element you are trying to add is already stored in
My Folder. Check the Help for more information"). Button: OK (DON'T CLICK ON
OK!!)
The firefox button in the Start Toolbar starts flashing.

	After a couple more minutes, more popups will show on top of the existing ones;
if you
click on OK while there are a few of them, you can keep browsing, but if you
wait say ten
minutes without clicking on OK and in the meantime keep working with other
apps, when you
come back to Firefox and click on OK on the popups 4 or 5 times, Firefox crashes.

Reproducible: Always

WFM (Adblock Plus disabled)
I don't get any popups or a crash

You're right.
Trying again with AdBlock disabled gives no popup, therefore no crash.
So the problem is definitely with AdBlock. Maybe it's an AdBlock Bug and
not Firefox's? :-S

Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
The crash might not be AdBlock's fault. AdBlock probably just confuses the page
into showing that alert, and you'd get the same crash if the page was confused
for some other reason, or always showed the alert.
This testcase doesn't crash for me (even using Firefox 1.0.7 on WinXP), but I
think it does demonstrate a bug.
I haven't figured out how to reproduce the original bug, or get
http://www.lanacion.com.ar to show that alert at all. What AdBlock filter
should I add?

> What AdBlock filter should I add?

Try these:

http://*.lanacion.com.ar/RealMedia/ads/*
http://deliver.ads.uigc.net/RealMedia/ads/*

A talkback ID for the crash would be helpful. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback
works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20070603 Minefield/3.0a6pre ID:2007060304 [cairo] - no crash on the provided url.

resolving as incomplete since no talkback id was provided for this bug (comment #8).
