User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Build Identifier: version 1.0.7 (20050923) I have a problem that appeared suddenly this morning. In my Inbox, most mails have no subject nor body, but they appear with their right subject in the list above. The new mails received are ok. And only one old mail in the Inbox is ok, it is a mail from 20/05/2005 (the oldest in my Inbox). The next mail (from 25/08/2005) is not ok. And when I open some mails, they open with the content of previously deleted mails that have nothing to do with the actual mail. Problem reproduces when I quit and restart Thunderbird. Might be related to 2 antivirus scans (Panda sofware and ViruScan Enterprise) I did this morning, since Panda deleted 2 files from my mail files (worms apparently) but the problem did not appear right after the scans ended. It appeared later on. Thanks for your help, those were important mails !! Thomas Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Run Panda scan online 2.Run Thinderbird 3.Try to open mails in Inbox Actual Results: As described in the details Expected Results: Display mails content.
What files did Panda delete from your mail files. Sounds like Panda scanned your mailbox files directly and deleted the entire mailbox file instead of the specific emails inside.
I don't know he name of the 2 files removed by Panda, I did not save the report. I remember the names didn't mean anything to me, and as it was reported as worms by Panda, I did not pay much attention. What is strange is that one mail is still ok (the oldest one), and some other mails contain info from past receveid mails.

Can you try deleting all your .msf files from your profile. Close thunderbird first and see if this doesn't help. Maybe a corrupt index file?
Make a backup of your profile first just in case. :)
Don't worry, I backed them up before the deletion. And it works ! Thanks a lot ! You saved me precious time !! Cheers, Thomas
Just to confirm that deleting the .MSF files fixed the issue? Going to mark this INVALID as it seems Panda Antivirus deleted some mail files. If this occurs again without any intervention from Antivirus, please feel free to reopen. Thanks :)
