User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

it would be a good funktion if i can send Maild directly to another thunderbird
user in the lan without using smtp or pop3 servers.
Maybe if i can send the mail to the username of the other user like you can do
in Pegasus Mail

Reproducible: Always

Thunderbird is client software, not server software.
Do you have any examples of other software that does this?

I can't see us doing this or bug 314968 (lotus notes)
Component: General → Networking
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core
Summary: [RFE] sending mails to other users via lan → [RFE] sending mails to other Thunderbird users (peer to peer) via network
