it would be a good funktion if i can send Maild directly to another thunderbird
user in the lan without using smtp or pop3 servers.
Maybe if i can send the mail to the username of the other user like you can do
in Pegasus Mail

Thunderbird is client software, not server software.
Do you have any examples of other software that does this?

yes I have Pegasus Mail have this feature included and it is very easy to send
messages to other users into the Lan
with best regards

I can't see us doing this or bug 314968 (lotus notes)
