This bug has been recurring for the past 6 months and has been reproduced in the
10/15/05 nightly build. 

In the account settings, when I choose sent mail to place a copy in the sent
folder, the changes revert after saving. The sent folder continues to remain empty.



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create four e-mail accounts
2. Have all four accounts use the same SMTP setting.
3. Choose sent mail to place a copy in the sent folder. Changes revert after saving.

Actual Results:  
The sent folder remains empty

Expected Results:  
All four accounts should retain all of their settings.

In Thunderbird I have four e-mail accounts, three newsgroups and a local folder.
I have many saved folders in the local folder. Only one account will place my
sent mail in the correct folder (Not the default account). My default e-mail
account is used for the SMTP server- primarilIn my case, I did not create a new
sent folder. I am using the original folder.

When I select sent mail to be sent to the sent folder in all four accounts, it
lets me save the setting, but will revert itself when I reopen the account. Only
one account retains the setting. The sent folder will remain empty.

I'm seeing the same problem under Solaris now that I installed the latest Mozilla suite (I believe 1.7.12). This is a major regression  !
The bcc setting reverts also . I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs copies of sent messages. Making P1.
