User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Since about 3 or 4 days ago when I performed an update to my extensions when I went to re-open firefox it came up with a blank screen and wouldn't let me do ANYTHING aside from closing the window. After MANY times of closing and reopening, it finally came up. What I noticed was that the "create new tab" icon was back in my tab bar when multiple tabs were open. I went into the options and it was still unchecked for it to appear in my tab bar. I checked it off / closed and reopend firefox and everything seemed ok. Went back into options and once again unckecked for the new tab icon to appear in the tab bar, hit OK and closed firefox. Upon trying to reopen firefox it started giving me the same error once again with the blank screen... Once it came back up (and was working) I rechecked the option once again (for the icon TO appear), closed, reopened, and now it works fine. I repeated these steps MANY TIMES and it seems to be the only thing that makes it happen. SIDENOTE: I did try completely uninstalling and reinstalling firefox along with rebooting everytime and it had no effect on this issue. Your report may or may not help, but not until you copy it and paste it into whatever the extension developer uses for bug reports: you have to report extension bugs directly to the author, since we don't even know who he is (or what extension it is), much less have access to his code to fix it. For most extensions, if you open the Extension Manager and right click the extension's listing, you can choose "Visit Home Page" and find some way to send feedback to the extension author.
