User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 If I load www.hindustantimes.com, none of the links on the page work. clicking them dont get anything. However while the page is loading, just before it completes the load, you abort it by pressing ESC, the links work. (of course everything works w/ stupid IE!) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. view http://www.hindustantimes.com/ 2. let it complete the loading 3. try opening any link on the page Actual Results: the link wont come Expected Results: should have opened the link's target
There's a transparent Flash applet covering most of the page.
so, how does one "fix" this? should FF provide some knob to deal with these stupid pages?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051017 Firefox/1.4.1 Seems to be WFM - there is an ad, but it can be closed and I can then use the links.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051020 Firefox/1.5 ID:2005102000 WFM - if all links show what they promise in the statusbar. The ones I tried worked.
works for me in winxp and firefox 1.0.7 and 1.5 from today.
