Details
The security, libnls and security UI code needs to be vetted and tested to ensure
that it works when the user has various 'dangerous' characters in their disk or
folder names, like "\|/*".

get the PSM source building outside the firewall.

Worksforme. I created a Mac folder called test\|/ and saved an html file in it.
There was no problem opening it.
