Can't put my finger on what the problem is but I installed thunderbird 1.5 beta 2 yesterday and today I restarted my computer. Tested to install the deer park alpha 2 now and it crashes when starting if I don't use safe mode. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start download managaer 2. 3. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051025 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005102518 WFM. Opened the latest Thunderbird, opened the latest Firefox trunk build, opened Download manager: no problem.

Could you install with a build that has talkback built in? That crash data is useless.

Have you tried running Firefox in safe mode?

It helped to just remove all of the user data and reinstall firefox 1.5.
