Firefox have today gone wild and crashes when I start download manager. Can't put my finger on what the problem is but I installed thunderbird 1.5 beta 2 yesterday and today I restarted my computer. Tested to install the deer park alpha 2 now and it crashes when starting if I don't use safe mode.

WFM. Opened the latest Thunderbird, opened the latest Firefox trunk build, opened Download manager: no problem.
Could you install with a build that has talkback built in? That crash data is useless.

Have you tried running Firefox in safe mode?
It helped to just remove all of the user data and reinstall firefox 1.5.
