User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051017 Firefox/1.6a1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux) Gecko/20051026 Firefox/1.6a1

On page preview the page size is wrong. I have page size set to "letter" (8.5x11), but the page in print preview shows a page much larger. Moreover, when I do print a page there is no word wraping to fit the page. It just gets chopped on the right hand side.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open print preview.
2.Notice that the page is about 3 or 4 times wider than the page size defined in page setup.
3.

Actual Results:
The page in print preview is about 3 or 4 times wider than the page size defined in page setup.

Expected Results:
The page should be exactly the same size as the page defined in page setup.

This only happens on the linux builds. Windows builds are not affected. I don't know about OS X.
Oh ya. This is only on the 1.5 and nightly builds.

I don't see anything particularly wrong with Print Preview / actual printing here.
Couldn't this be an issue with Xprint ?
When I use Firefox 1.0.7, the print preview shows a page where the borders fit within the print preview window. The page looks similar to a sheet of 8.5x11 paper. When I use Firefox 1.6a the print preview window shows a page that is so wide I have to scroll several times to reach the right hand border. The page looks similar to a sheet of butcher paper (very wide and very long).

Also, the print preview using Mozilla looks correct (just like firefox 1.0.7).

I don't see this as a problem with anything other than the new firefox. I could be wrong, but why would the stable firefox and mozilla both show the correct page size in the print preview, where the unstable firefox does not.

When I get home, I will make a screenshot. Maybe that will help?
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting Xprint to work.
I have installed it, started its service, and nothing.
It appears to be working just fine, except it knows nothing about my printer. Moreover it has not changed anything reguarding this bug. Any help would be very much appriciated.

By the way. Firefox still uses my CUPS printers while printing. If its using Xprint why does it see my CUPS printers? And if it sees my CUPS printers why can't it get the paper size from them?

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070220 Firefox/2.0.0.2
--The preview looks great and prints just like the preview.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a2) Gecko/20070206 GranParadiso/3.0a2
--The preview pages look square (11x11), things are misplaced, and it doesn't print quite right.

Can we keep the way Firefox/2.0.0.2 prints. So far 3.0a2 is bad.

do you see this issue still with version 3.6 or 4.0 beta?
