User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1

While attempting to select an address saved on the dropdown menu of the address bar (the url was http://www.tnk-bootblock.co.uk), Windows displayed a message that "Firefox.exe performed an illegal action and must be shut down"

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
Summary: Locks up when selecting certain items from the address bar's dropdown menu → crash when selecting certain items from the address bar's dropdown menu
Can you provide a stack trace or talkback ID? Was the page loading in the background when you tried to select a new address? This is likely bug 296526.

works for me in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9a5pre) Gecko/20070530 Minefield/3.0a5pre ID:2007053004 [cairo] and Firefox 2.0.0.4 on Windows Vista and XP x64 SP2 -> no crash

Closing this as incomplete since no reply/Talkback ID to the request from comment #1, and because of this not clear if this is a dupe of Bug 314336.
