User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Firefox/1.0.7 I have tried each version since 1.0.2 and can never get any page to render. Each time I have to revert to 1.0.2 which works fine. When visiting any site, the address window shows a blank icon and the word 'Done' is displayed. O/S is Windows 98SE, patched up-to-date via Windows Update. Also use ZoneAlarm (currently v 5.5.094) Behind h/w firewall/router, closed as tight as I can. Do Firefox versions 1.0.3 & later use a new port number perhaps? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load any version of Firefox after 1.0.2 2. Try to access any web page (e.g. my home page se to www.theregister.co.uk) 3. Watch nothing happening Actual Results: No page is rendered, blank icon in address bar, "Done" displayed in status bar (bottom r.h. corner) Expected Results: Page rendered
Most likely either a firewall problem, or an profile problem, or something else. But seeing as how versions >1.0.2 seem to work fine for all other 98se users (unless they have firewall problems and such), this is invalid. Please try http://forums.mozillazine.org/ for support.
