steps: 1. make sure you don't have canconfirm+editbugs (i can help you if you aren't powerful enough to help yourself) 2. click the link by Status: in any bug 3. read for an explanation of why you can't change a bug from UNCONFIRMED to NEW (e.g. this bug) actual results: it isn't there expected results: an explanation would be nice.
I strongly disagree. You would have to do that for all fields you cannot change. Better is to change the UI so that fields which cannot be changed are not editable. There is a bug for that already, bug 95923.
