User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20051019 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20051019 Firefox/1.0.7 After installing FF 1.0.7 a few days ago, we noticed a problem which occurs with FF 1.0.7 (Linux platform) but not with FF 1.0.1 (Linux platform) not FF 1.0 (Windows XP). We have a web-application which uses the GET method to fill a form. The application can be found at http://sudoku.qos.ch When the user starts playing, he or she will interact with our application with the a URL of the following form: http://sudoku.qos.ch/play.do;jsessionid=aAn3pQQOk69b?showCandidates=true&asString=1.586....8.9.2...7.3.4..21.9..3...2..81...53..7...6..1.17..4.6.2...3.4.5....751.9&candidatesAsString=%2C24%2C%2C%2C%2C379%2C39%2C49%2C34%2C%2C46%2C%2C15%2C%2C13%2C36%2C45%2C%2C67%2C%2C6%2C%2C59%2C79%2C%2C%2C68%2C%2C456%2C46%2C%2C1458%2C178%2C678%2C%2C468%2C46%2C%2C%2C279%2C49%2C279%2C%2C%2C46%2C345%2C%2C234%2C259%2C4589%2C%2C89%2C489%2C%2C35%2C%2C%2C29%2C89%2C%2C38%2C%2C238%2C%2C69%2C68%2C169%2C%2C189%2C%2C78%2C%2C346%2C46%2C3468%2C26%2C%2C%2C%2C8%2C&command=singleStep&autoPrune=true&boxLockedOnLine=false&boxLockedOnColumn=false&coupleByLine=false&coupleByColumn=false&coupleByBox=false&showErrors=true However, with FF 1.0.7 the URL is somehow transformed to: http://sudoku.qos.ch/play.do?showCandidates=true&asString=123&candidatesAsString=123&command=singleStep&autoPrune=true&boxLockedOnLine=false&boxLockedOnColumn=false&coupleByLine=false&coupleByColumn=false&coupleByBox=false&showErrors=true The value for "asString" paramater becomes "123" instead of a much longer (and correct) value. As noted above, we are observing this problem only with FF 1.0.7 and not with any other browser we have access to. Reproducible: Always
Just to emphasize, the problem can be observed with FF 1.0.7 but not FF 1.0.1 (on the Linux platform).
Can reporter advise if fault persists with recent Firefox versions.
