Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051102 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051102 Firefox/1.5

When hiding cols with style="width:0px" to get space for other cols on small windows / resolution, the text in cells overwrite the next cols. Firefox 1.0x and other browsers hide the cols correctly.

The table layout style is set to fixed "style="table-layout:fixed"".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the sample URL
2. set the window-width smaller than 1024 pixel
3. show on the right side of table

Actual Results:
see text overwriting on cells

Expected Results:
hiding the text on cells with 0px width

>Firefox 1.0x and other browsers hide the cols correctly.
setting 0px on a col in fixed layout is supposed to let all content of the table cells overflow. Set overflow:clip on the td if that is not what you want. I fail to see why the current behaviour violates CSS 2.1.

Hiding cols is done via visibility:hidden.

invalid imho

I believe you meant to say overflow: hidden

> Hiding cols is done via visibility:hidden.
I believe you meant to say visibility: collapse
