User Authentication required again to download a file from FTP once the previous download is cancelled

When a user is connected to a ftp and tries to download a file but cancels the file before it is completely download and later when he tries to retry from the download manager it downloads the file instantly but when tried to open the downloaded file it shows cannot find the specified file.
After this try to download another file it pops up user authentication is required  (Already logged in as previlaged user)and the user has to give the details once again

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a FTP site and log in as a previlaged user download a file, when the download is in progress click cancel and retry.
2. Try to download some other file.

Actual Results:  
1. The file downloads instantly and when tried to open says the file doesn't exist
2. When the user wants to download a second file or any other file A window with user name and password pops up (already logged in)

Expected Results:  
It should again start the file download and download should be complete, once the user wants to download other file it pops up a user authentication window
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
