Reproducible: Always
The same applies of course to IMAP messages. What I see a lot is that Thunderbird does not download 100% of a message with an attachment. There is no way for me to force a redownload of this message.
Can someone please change the status of this bug to CONFIRMED? I am bitten by this bug almost daily. :-(

Actually I see this issue with unstable IMAP connections. bienvenu, thoughts? Confirming because I can't find any dupes.

Gary, we should not be marking the message as "valid" in the offline store, so clicking away to a different message and clicking back should reload the message. If that doesn't work, then we need to fix the issue with the message getting into the offline store (or disk/memory cache).
And I think there are dupes of that issue...

This still happens in tb 3.1.10: if a mail message on IMAP isn't downloaded fully for whatever reason there's no way to force tb to reload it from the server.
