User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird version 1.5 (20051025) This is a problem only in the RSS messages in HTML format. Thunderbird uses the font size as specified by the page when a new feed message is loaded, instead of using its own size. Regular e-mail (regardless of format) and text based RSS feeds functions as normal. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a HTML based feed to the News & Blogs account (like Asa's feed above), and allow it to load messages 2. Select one message and click in the message preview 3. Hit Ctrl-+ about 3 times. 4. Select another message in the same folder 5. Hit Ctrl-+ one time Actual Results: Step 4: The font size returns to normal Step 5: The font size increases a lot, as if to jump out of the window. Expected Results: Step 4: The font size should retain the same size as in Step 3, so that step 5 isn't as dramatic of a change.
That particular feed doesn't validate, and so exhibits the same problem subscribing as seen at bug 315600, bug 313422, bug 297569. But with a Craig's List feed, size adjustments are maintained: TB 1.6a1-1109, TB 1.5rc1, Win2K.
The problem is still valid in Thunderbird 2
