However, any subsequent attempts crash the browser. (Sorry it's a MySpace page, but I've gotten quite a few complaints from people I got to switch to Firefox because their browser is crashing on that page) I've been able to reproduce this in the latest trunk as well as in Firefox 1.5 RC2 (RC1 does not have this problem) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.myspace.com/lindymeihui 2. Go to some other page 3. Try to load that page again without reinstalling Firefox (restarting browser does not help) Actual Results: Browser crashes Expected Results: Browser properly loads the page Default theme. running trunk build with Portable Firefox; RC2 installed by installer with nothing in Firefox folder previous to install besides the Plugins folder. Creating a new profile does not help. Windows event log: Faulting application firefox.exe, version 1.9.20051.11105, faulting module firefox.exe, version 1.9.20051.11105, fault address 0x0024cf00.

Related to Bug 312217 ? > I saw that and wondered if it might be QuickTime, but since Firefox 1.0.7 and Firefox 1.5 RC2 don't crash on the same page, I'm not so sure. The fact that it works on Linux is interesting... I tried testing it without the QuickTime plugin, but Firefox keeps finding QuickTime and loading it anyway when I rename the plugins folder. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to completely delete the plugin.

If so, though, why does QuickTime not crash 1.5 RC1, while, on the SAME MACHINE, Firefox RC2 does crash? BTW, I do have QuickTime 7.0.3 installed. As I said earlier, I tried disabling the plugin by renaming the plugins folder, but QuickTime kept showing up in about:plugins and the browser kept crashing.

Here's my Talkback ID for Firefox Win32 11-11-05 trunk: tb11725751z WORKS Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051112 Firefox/1.6a1 It looks like this might be the same bug as Bug 316025 and Bug 316082, as it's similar crash info and Bug 316025 was fixed in the latest nightly. If so, is this fix going to be integrated into Firefox 1.5 before release? Possibly in RC3? This is a really irritating bug.
