Please try a more recent build:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/contrib/latest-mozilla1.8/
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-trunk/

1.7.x is only taking security fixes
Version: unspecified → 1.7 Branch

This worksforme using current SeaMonkey 1.1.9 Release and current Trunk-Builds with Mac OS X 10.5.2. Because this report was untouched for about quite a long time, I will close this for now.

Reporter, if you got this problem using the current Builds, feel free to reopen and please submit an URL to Site where this happen.
