User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5 One has open a 'main' Firefox window, and the local intranet site has opened a PDF in a another window. If one now clicks on a link outside Firefox , such as in Outlook, that link can appear as a new tab in the PDF window, rather than in the 'main' already-multi-tabbed window. Inconvenient. I suggest that the preference "Opens links from other applications in" acquire other choices, including "a tab in window first opened", and "a tab in window with most tabs", as well as the current "a tab in the most recent window". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
Related to bug 314771?
Yes. I have added a (badly formatted) link from there to here.
(In reply to comment #1) > Related to bug 314771? Sure it is.. but there was no reasoning at all, just "this won't happen". Don't ask me, I think it's obvious it's wrong right now, and I have absolutely no idea in which situation the current version is "right", but nobody wants to enlighten me.
Severity: normal → S3
