The site sends, for this gif:

  Content-Encoding: ISO-8859-1

which is not a Content-Encoding we support, of course, hence the error.

The question is whether we should just evangelize the site.  I feel that we should....

I think so too... I don't think there's anything reasonable we can do, I guess we _could_ work around it by checking if the encoding starts with "ISO-8859", but I don't think we want to do that.

(or, given that necko already depends on intl, we could check if it is a valid charset name. I still don't think we should do it)

It appears that image no longer exists (I get a default item-without-image image now), but there isn't any Content-Encoding headers sent with it. Closing as invalid, please reopen if you find this is still a problem.
