User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/all-beta.html The 1.5RC3 download page says "Firefox 1.5 RC 3 for Windows, English (5.0MB) Other Systems and Languages". However, there is *ONLY* English versions to download. Should the download page be fixed(removing the "Other Languages" part), or it's a discrimination again the users of other languages? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the URL: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ 2. Click "Try Firefox 1.5 RC 3: Download Here" 3. Click "Other Systems and Languages" Expected Results: There should be Firefox 1.5RC3 in other languages other than English.
The "again the users" is a typo for "against the users"
RC3 is (at the moment) only for en_US users. Other languages are being workd on : see http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Firefox_1.5_release_candidate_Status
Some of them are "PASS" at MoCo QA Status, but there are no RC3 for them? Why the en_US should me *MORE STABLE* than other languages? If there is a critical or majar bug not in RC2 but in realease of some language other than en_US, who will be responsible for it? Who will fix it and will there be a !.5.1 bug fix for them? So, if you are not an en_US user, your 1.5R is possibly not as *STABLE* as en_US, right?
(In reply to comment #3) > Some of them are "PASS" at MoCo QA Status, but there are no RC3 for them? > Why the en_US should me *MORE STABLE* than other languages? Builds have to be tested by the international teams first, before they're made a release candidate (ready for public testing). That's what you saw on that page. International teams were running late with verification, that's why they didn't make it into RC3. Most of them are now in the final (see <http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html>), although are still missing, en_GB for instance. The RC3 builds were made for functional testing, and are not required to be in international versions (which should be indeed just as stable as en_US). If they're ready for a release candidate, then it's an extra bonus ofcourse. RC2 was pretty good, but there just was no time for RC3. There were builds (see <http://ftp.eu.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8-1.5rc3-l10n/>), but they were not fit for a public release.
