I installed Firefox 1.5 RC2 almost a week ago. I noticed that I could not watch BBC news video or listen to WABC radio on Firefox, although I was able to do so on IE. I eventually realized that the Java Script was not appearing on my screen. I tried re-installing Java Script, and I was able to view some websites. But, tonight, I noticed that I could not view the two sites listed above on Firefox. I checked the Javascript Console, and found abou 20 or 30 error messages. Here is just one of them:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try viewing a site that needs Java Script to view, e.g. BBC news videos
2.Find site unviewable - often media player doesn't even appear
3.Check Javascript Console to find it full of error messages

Actual Results:  

I had to view the sites on IE, because they were not viewable on Firefox, due to lack of Java Script - Required media player is that appears is either missing components or fails to appear completely, leaving a blank screen

Expected Results:  

I would be able to view news videos or listen to radio stations on Firefox

I have win98 too
In internet explorer or firefox or seamonkey, if I go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/?ok, then choose 
http://www.bbc.co.uk/go/homepage/int/pr/no/b1/t/2111051330/-/mediaselector/check/doctorwho/ram/cin05?size=16x9&bgc=CC0000&nbram=1&bbram=1&nbwm=1&bbwm=1
which is a dr who trailer, a window will open with

then a  window pops open with

Alternatively you can try to play the clip in the standalone player or change your preferences.

so I chose to play the clip in the standalone player (media player classic, in my case). This worked well. It didn't work in IE or firefox if I chose to play it within the browser.

On window98, I don't think windows media player 10 is available. Perhaps the site needs window media player 10's plugin for it to work within the firefox's or internet explorer's window, rather than in a stand-alone player?
