User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20051007 Debian/1.7.12-1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20051007 Debian/1.7.12-1 After running the mail application for some time, it stops notification and retrieving new mails from the pop3 server. Clicking the "get msgs" button shows no reaction in the status bar. After restarting Mozilla and MailNews the new messages can be retrieved as usual. Only the first mail account seems to be affected. Notification and retrieval work correctly for the other accounts. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Mozilla / MailNews 2. Click "Get Msgs" button and retrieve new mails 3. let the application run for maybe 2-3 hours, wait for new mail Actual Results: No notification when new mail arrives Clicking "Get Msgs" button shows no reaction in the status bar, new mails are not retrieved from server Expected Results: 1. Sound and display of green arrow when new mail has arrived 2. When Clicking "Get Msgs" button, new mails should be downloaded from server and displayed in Inbox. The mail is on the POP3 and can be checked via telnet to the server.
please try a trunk seamonkey build - I believe this has been fixed, just not in 1.7.x. Marking dup of bug 173924 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 173924 ***
