Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Every time I close FF it will not exit. If I look at Windows Task Manager I can have from 1 to 20 instance of FF running. The only way I can close FF down is to click on "End Process".
It also continues to have an increase in memory as I surf the Internet. Seems memory and the programs are not released correctly.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox
2. Quit Firefox by clicking on the X in the upper R/H corner - restart FF
3. (Repete step 2 if desired) Check "Windows Task Manager" and you will see multiple instance of Firefox running.
Actual Results:
If I open FF up 10 times I have 10 instances of FF in my "Windows Task Manager" each with different amounts of memory being used.
Expected Results:
Closing Firefox should simply close the application with out the user having to use "Windows Task Manager" to end the process.

Works for me. Maybe an extension is causing this? Try disabling your extensions and see if it still occurs.

This looks like a problem with the Download Statusbar extension. I see the same problem. When I disable that extension, I dont see the problem
