Flash player does not load I get a Q with a question mark. Loads fine in Explorer

Flash player refuses to load. Happens only when I use Firefox, does not happen with Explorer..

disable flash support in the quicktime plugin using the quicktime setting in the windows system control (and the flash support is broken in qt).
"does not happen with Explorer.." means nothing, really nothing because IE is using ActiveX Plugins.
-> invalid (no bug in Firefox)

Disabling Flash in QuickTime's MIME settings was the answer.
