User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: I frequently disable/enable images on the fly because I'm on dialup. It's quite annoying to load Tools>Options everytime on my slow computer. Options takes a while to load, then a while to switch tabs. Personally, I think Options should be for preferences that you want set in stone, while the menu should be for things you want to change often/quickly. Reproducible: Always

I did... Context menus and file menus are different. Unless the other bug is also for a File menu option, I think this is different.

I believe the other bug is for loading individual images that are not loaded. This is for choosing to load all images or do not load any images via a file menu, such as View.

There was an extension that did this, but it no longer exists by the looks of things. Perhaps you could fix this quickly with a shortcut key?

(In reply to comment #5) > Do you mean the ImgLikeOpera extesion? No... Although that extension looks quite good, I was thinking of one called Image Show-Hide. I searched for it, and I found a page that linked to the extension, but now it's gone. Essentially, it was a check-box in the status bar that would toggle the Firefox setting and toggle all images instantly. It was compatible with 1.0.2 but must have faded away... :(

This is a niche feature at best. WONTFIX.
