Details

this is reminiscent of bug 29400, except that this occurs only in the context
menu in Mail (specifically in the thread pane), and all three platforms.

winNT [2000.03.13.18-nb1b, opt comm]
linux [2000.03.13.19-nb1b, opt comm]
mac [2000.03.13.17-nb1b, opt mozilla]

to repro:
1. open the 3-pane Mail window, and highlight a message in the thread pane.
2. bring up the context menu for the message.
3. select Move To > [username] > [folderlist].
(note: at this point i'm no longer holding down any mouse buttons to keep the
menus displayed)
4. while the [folderlist] is displayed, try to move the mouse over to the items
in the parent (topmost) menu.

result: highlighting within the toplevel menu flickers btwn Move To and whatever
your mousing over in step 4.

expected: the highlighting in the toplevel menu shouldn't flicker, but stay on
Move To.

Sounds like an xpmenus bug. Reassign to trudelle.

Reproduced using today's NS B1 build on Linux, but want to clarify steps:
Right-click once on header and release.
<context menu appears>
move cursor to "Move To" item.
<submenu appears>
move cursor to first submenu item '<user> on <server>'
<third level submenu appears>
move cursor to original context menu, over any item *except* Move To.
Expected result: item is selected, submenus disappear
Actual result: submenus remain, selection alternates between Move To and item
under cursor.
