When typing a message, the font size changes without selecting a new setting.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
This is one of many examples:
1. Click on "Write" on the main Thunderbird window
2. Type on the first line: AAAAAA
3. Hit the "Enter" key to leave the second line empty
4. Type on the third line: AAAAAA


Actual Results:  
The characters in the third line have different size than the characters in the first line.

Expected Results:  
Consistent font size.

Attached is the result of performing the reported steps, and then saving to a file. It was obtained with "version 1.5 (20051202)"

Huh -- I didn't know you could save an HTML file from the compose window. 
You learn something every day.

What are your settings under   
  Tools | Options | Composition | General | HTML Settings   ?

Do you have any extensions installed?  If so, do you get the same result when running TB in Safe Mode?

How do you move the focus into the compose window editor pane -- by clicking there with the mouse, or tabbing into it?

Thanks Mike!
The problem is related with an extension (I didn't know about safe mode before.)
The extension is: BiDi Mail UI 0.6.7, which facilitates right-to-left writing.

I'll report the bug at the bidiui site.
Should this also be reviewed in the main TB program ?

FYI:
The settings under Tools | Options | Composition | General | HTML Options are:
  Font: Variable Width, Size: large, Text: Black, Background: White
  (All defaults except size.)
And, I move the focus by clicking.

If the extension-writers find a problem with the existing code, they can file a bug specifically against that problem.

If you revert the size to normal/medium, does the font size stay the same 
across lines, when the extension is running?  If it does, you could compose 
in the normal size and then resize the entire message before sending, as a possible workaround.
