Firefox hangs during startup - taskkill /f /im firefox.exe + restart firefox does immedeately open it...

Stopping it with taskkill /f /im firefox.exe and starting it again does result in a directly opened firefox... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox 2. Wait indefinitely (I tried it for 30 min) 3. taskkill /f /im firefox.exe 4. Start Firefox Actual Results: as under details Expected Results: an more or less immediate starting FireFox of course :o)

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051204 Firefox/1.5 Works for me. Might be possibly caused by some extension. Does is also happen with disabled extensions or in Firefox's safemode? Have you tried creating a new profile? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#How_do_I_create_a_new_profile.3F
