Please see the following scenario:
Bug A http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2175
Bug B http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4170

compare with
http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_activity.cgi?id=2175
http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_activity.cgi?id=4170

A (2175) was changed as depending on B (4170).
Later B (4170) was changed as duplicate of A (2175).

It was necessary to remove the dependencies manualy.

Requirement: When changing resolution of A as duplicate of B the dependencies between A and B should be cleared.

i don't see why. if you use showdependencytree, you can click 'hide resolved'. what if you're wrong? then when you reopen you've lost the dependency. what if the dependency is A => C => B and you resolve A as a dupe of B?

This is a good point. Changed summary from "clear" to "notify about". A "notify about" mechanism in Bugzilla would still be a good help and the decision is at the users site.

Recursion dependeny check (A => B => C) as mentioned above is / would be a great feature. See similar
