ctrl-shift end/home does not work to select entire page of text in browser

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
no movement of cursor

The same symptom occurs for Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn. Shift+UpArrow and Shift+DnArrow work as expected, but Shift+PgUp and Shift+PgDn neither select text NOR do they move the page relative to the last position.

Firefox is not acting in a manner consistent with the way that IE performs these actions. It appears that multiple key combinations and select and cursor movement keys just aren't working right in Firefox. I'm using a straight download...no extensions, no plug-ins version of Firefox, just downloaded tonight 2006-06-15. Platform is WinXP Pro SP2 with MCE2005 layer on an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2GB RAM, ATI X800XL video card. Firefox Version is:

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
