User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 When composing a mail message you have the option to click on different smiley's to add to your msg. You can also click on various buttons to add html tags to a word or sentence, such as bold, color, underline, etc. Those options have never worked for as long as I have used Firefox (about a year). If I click to add any of those options the html to produce the smiley or text changes is added to the bottom of my message and my view is changed to the beginning of the msg. I have to scroll and either copy/paste the html or drag it to put it where I need it. I do not have to do anything like that with IE, but I PREFER to use Firefox. This one *little* thing would make Firefox absolutely perfect, it's been my only complaint. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to the web-based community message boards. (URL Provided for the test post section of this community previously in this msg) 2. log in and compose msg. 3. Highlight words to bold and add color... also add a smiley within the message. See where ya end up? Actual Results: My smiley and text html tags were whisked to the bottom of the message instead of around the words they should be or within in the message where it should be. Expected Results: The words I highlighted weren't bolded or colored because the html tags were sent to the bottom of my message.
The site uses the depreciated document.getSelection function. It should use window.getSelection instead.

One month is quite long enough to have waited for a response. INCOMPLETE unless someone can answer comment 2.
