User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
If Firefox is open, and fully maximized, and it has at least one tab open, and a link is clicked when Firefox is minimized (and therefore a new tab is opened), Firefox will bring the Firefox window in which the link opened into a new tab Restored Down (eg not fully maximized). The size, of course, of the window, depends on how the user resized it. This happens with any link I try; however, there must be at least one tab already open. The links I click are from Outlook Express.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up Firefox, with at least one extra tab, and minimize it.
2. Click a link
3. Firefox will become active open, Restored Down.
Expected Results:
It should come back up in it's previous state.
Using the default FF theme, running Adblock Plus with Filterset.G updater. Windows XP SP1 with all updates (except SP2). Firefox 1.5.
Duplicate of bug 269033?
I find that any link that opens a new tab, whether FF is minimized or not, will cause firefox to restore down. Quite annoying.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
