Hallo!

I could not find any dupe searching for "product component change".

Assume that bug nnnn has product A and component B.
The task is to change to product C and component D.
Assume that component B is *not* in product product C.

The change precedure would require an additional step in order to offer the right fields for the optionlist of components in product C.

I did not see Bugzilla installations / configurations where optionlists are depending on more depths. There the selection could continue in more steps.

In the seccond step when changing product, component etc. old product, old component, other fields are *not display. If you do not remember the old values you might select a wrong parameter.

*feature request*
When changing product, component etc. display old product, old component, other fields in all required steps unless you finish the change or cancel your action.

I did never used / made "mass bug change" (?) / "Change several bugs at once" (?). Please investigate if there is anything similar - if it makes sense to display old values unless the change is made.

This bug and bug 309167 are different. I'm pretty sure this bug is a dupe (maybe timeless opened one already).

Perhaps, but I'm not finding a dup authored by timeless or anyone else.  http://tinyurl.com/zsohl  Unless you're thinking of Bug 315789 or Bug 196941.

No. 227611 is to suppress the intermediate page, while this bug is about displaying current values in the intermediate page.
