When you cick and drag an image into keynote, instead of the usual image, there is a text box with the URL of the image. Safari lets you drag and drop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.find image
2.click and drag
3.drop into Keynote

Actual Results:  
url text box

Expected Results:  
picture appears

This is the drag-and-drop version of bug 279270 (I swear we have this bug, or have had it, already, but I can't find it now).

We put both the image and the image's url in the drag when we drag an image, and Keynote (and Stickies and who knows what else) chooses to use the url instead of the image.  (Safari seems to only put the image in its drag.)  Arguably this is those apps' bug, since, e.g., NeoOffice Draw and Impress choose to accept the image instead of the url.

In what order are we putting them on the pasteboard? That can make a difference.

We have definitely had this bug before, and we changed the behaviour and then (IIRC) changed the behaviour back again. I think that bug was to do with dragging or copying images to Word, but I can't find the bug again at the moment either!

Oddly when I drag an image from a web page to Word the image gets pasted, but in PasteboardWatcher I can't see the image (or its URL) in either the general or the drag&drop pasteboard, so goodness knows how its getting to Word!

Bug 287134 (maybe others, but that's the one Josh, Mano, and I are cc'd on--oops).
