Close FF and delete the file downloads.rdf in your FF profile. Does that help?

Happens with a new profile as well.
Simon, just to clarify... you are using Mac OS X when you see this, right?
Yes, 10.4.3 Tiger. I have tried latest nightly. Does this happen with others? I have tried new profiles and trashed Firefox.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Opps, sorry for hitting Commit before I typed. Anyway I have had the same problem for forever. Also when you open a quicktime movie, or wma, or pretty much anything that saves the file to disk the open with box will come up (often pausing for like 30sec) and then once you click your option it will pause for another 30sec. Interestingly this *doesn't* happen when I user Turba Download Them All (extension that pretties up firefox download manager and gives some more options). This has been bugging me forever. I think this must be a dup of another bug but I couldn't find it.
Doh, I thought didn't have a contents.rdf file but I did. That fixed my problem.
