Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

Normally, the Bookmarks menu works like any other menu, with a highlight over the bookmark where your mouse pointer is. If Firefox is running on a console session, then you connect to the Windows XP PC using Remote Desktop, Firefox seems to exhibit a bug painting that highlight, resulting in constant flickering. This only applies to the Bookmarks menu; the other menus paint normally. If you close Firefox completely and re-open, it works normally. However, if you leave it open, and connect using the Console session again, the behavior returns.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox using the console session (requires Windows XP Pro with Remote Desktop enabled). Observe how the menu is painted.
2. Connect to the Windows XP PC using Remote Desktop. Observe how the Bookmarks menu is no longer painted correctly, resulting in a flickering highlight.
3. Close Firefox completely, and then re-open. Observe that the normal behavior has returned.
4. Connect to the Windows XP PC using the Console. Observe how the Bookmarks menu is no longer painted correctly, once again.

Actual Results:
The Bookmarks menu is no longer painted correctly when switching between a Console sesion and a Remote Desktop session, and vice versa, with Firefox left running.

Expected Results:
The Bookmarks menu should paint correctly.

This is new behavior in Firefox 1.5. Firefox 1.0.7 did not exhibit any problems painting the Bookmarks menu.
See bug 306426 comment 17, this is already being worked on.
