Details
discovered during Thunderbird testday.
-Go Prefs/Options | Display | HTML Messages
-Change the Background color to light yellow
-Return to main mail window. Select a plain text message.
-Select an HTML message.
It seems quite the opposite of what is expected is actually happening
Tested result:
The plain text message now has a yellow back ground. The HTML message has a default white background.
Expected results:
The plain text message should retain a default white background while the HTML message should have a yellow background.

Testing in:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081023 Shredder/3.0b1pre ID:20081023150255
There are no longer prefs for html background vs plaintext background.
Just a general default background color.
