User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051203 SeaMonkey/1.5a Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051203 SeaMonkey/1.5a SeaMonkey will freeze when CNet News.com http://news.com.com/ is loaded. Cannot exit normally, have to launch Task Manager to close application. SM will open a new blank tab, but if an attempt is made to close the CNet tab, right-clicking does not bring up any menus. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load http://news.com.com/ 2.Browser freezes, cannot exit. 3. Actual Results: Browser freezes, only way to exit is via Task Manager. Expected Results: Browser should not have froze, should have exited normally. Clicking the X in the upper right corner would not exit application.

Today's the 14th. Can you please try this again with a build from today?
Problem is also present in December 14, 2005 Windows build, same web site. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051214 SeaMonkey/1.5a Build ID: 2005121409
Do you have AdBlock or any other such things in use?
I do not use any ad blockers.
(In reply to comment #2) > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051214 > SeaMonkey/1.5a > > Build ID: 2005121409 WFM, no hang when I load http://news.com.com with the same build, old or new profile.
Preferences/Advanced/Scripts & Plugins: If I uncheck the box to enable JavaScript for Navigator, http://news.com.com/ does not freeze SeaMonkey (Dec. 14, 2005 build). It works perfectly. Perhaps this is a JavaScript issue??
The issue does not affect the Linux releases of SeaMonkey nightlies, I tried this with the December 14, 16, and 17 builds, the same page loaded fine with all three and did not freeze or hang. So far, this only seems to be a problem with the Windows release.
Build ID: 2005121708 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051217 SeaMonkey/1.5a http://news.com.com/ does NOT freeze or hang this particular build of SeaMonkey. It works as expected.
marking this worksforme, then, since it does (and has) with build 2005-12-17-08 on Windows XP SeaMonkey trunk.
